MI District LWML / MOST (Mission Opportunities Short Term)
Ministries Team 906 Arrives Home Safely From Poland

MI District LWML / MOST (Mission Opportunities Short Term) Ministries Team 906 arrived safely back home after two weeks of serving on a mission trip to Poland this summer.   Teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) was so much fun. We had a great time at this Lutheran church camp with our 62 students, ages 10 to 14,  and they certainly were better at English after being with them continuously for 10 days. We had nine classes of Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced levels. There were nineteen people on our team and we were able to show and tell them about the love of Jesus as we worked with them in our classes, recreation, music, drama and crafts and also the evening activities.  They gave us quite a sendoff when we left camp. There weren't any dry eyes in saying goodbye. Our team loved Poland. We were in the southern part of the country near the Czech Republic border in a tourist ski resort area of Jawornik Wisla.  The scenery was beautiful. In our free time we enjoyed walks and watching the farmers do their haying. Our tour days were spent in Krakow after finishing camp. Thank you so much for your prayers and support of our team. Nine of our women received financial assistance from a Michigan District LWML mission grant (your Mites at work.) If you're interested in having one of our team members come to your zone or society to share our stories and pictures, please contact one of them or the Team Liaison, Barbara Hoffmeier  bhoffmeier@comcast.net
