Month-by-Month Servant Event Ideas

Servant events can be carried out at different times of the year.  Pick a Lutheran agency in your

area and apply the following guidelines to your chosen event.

• Share ideas that reach out in love to a diversified group

• Train leaders how to carry out a plan of collecting and sharing resources

• Enable your local society to reach out and meet the needs of others in our diverse society

Suggested Activities for 2007

        March Send cards to shut-ins for the first day of Spring.

        April Volunteer at a local food pantry.

        May Hold a baby shower for an unwed mother in need.

        June Prepare activity bags for the younger members of your congregation to keep

                 them busy during the service.

        July Adopt an Armed Service Person.
